If someone breaks your heart just punch them in the face. Oh, sure it seems obvious now but you would be amazed at how many people dont think of it when its relevant. Seriously, just punch him in the face and go get some ice cream.

thank you so much, that’s extremely encouraging. :)
i’m very glad to see someone promoting self-love.
it’s a beautiful thing you’re doing, and i wish you the best of luck. :)
Over the past two weeks my life seems to have taken a dramatic turn.
I became a server at work. Meaning I’ll be making a lot more money. In turn it makes rent seem like a smaller weight on my shoulders.
My relationship with God has become stronger now especially that kids at church look up to me as a roll model. I could probably spend the rest of my life teaching middle school kids. Not too many people like that age group, but they are my absolute favorite. They understand what you say, have a short attention span, and once you engage them in a topic they can relate to, the light in their eyes is something i cannot begin to explain. :)
I got the internship with the Documentary Channel ! Meaning I’ll be in Nashville once or twice a week handling the creative aspect of advertising and marketing for the channel. Downside? I have to wear business clothes. Bleh. Either way it’s an amazing opportunity that I cannot believe I have been blessed with.
There’s a bit of ex boyfriend drama, but nothing prayer and time cannot fix. I’m having trouble to remembering I cannot please everyone. In the words of a very wise friend of mine, “He was the one who broke up with you and wanted it to be over. So let it be over. You’re single now. So if you find someone who makes you happy, go spend time with that guy. Life’s too short and you meet too many people so keep the ones that make you happy around and leave the rest. Do it for you, not anyone else.” I whole heartedly agree.
While i was out surfing this afternoon, I had a bit of a revelation. When you surf, the entire time you’re looking for that perfect wave. But yet to gain experience and have fun, you settle for waves that are not completely ideal. You may see one and think, “Eh, that one’ll do for now.” then go for it. They may be fun. You can enjoy them and get that indescribable feeling you only can get from feeling that wave beneath your feet. But the wave may knock you into the rocks so hard that you don’t want to get up and try again. But you do. You may become tired and exhausted. But yet you still do. You fight and paddle through wave after wave only to look over and see nothing in the distance. No matter how many times it happens you keep on perusing the perfect wave. But then there are a select few you run into that you may or may not have seen coming. The ones that literally carry you away and that let you enjoy them fully. You do not even fall off, they bring you to shore and you step off onto the sand. You remember those few incredible waves when you look back, and you’re glad you spent hour upon hour searching for them. There is so much time invested into a total of 10 seconds.
The overall experience builds character, makes you mentally and physically stronger, and creates patience. It was one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences I have had the pleasure to be apart of. I’m going to cease this opportunity every chance i get.
